Pappu Yadav gave support to Bima Bharti for the bye-poll.

Patna, July 8, 2024: Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, the MP of Purnea, has officially declared his support for the RJD candidate Bima Bharti in the upcoming Rupauli assembly bye-election.

During a media interaction in Purnea, Yadav emphasized the importance of ideological politics, which he believes is waning in today’s political landscape.

He affirmed his alignment with Congress’s ideology, stating: “Ideology is a big thing; it is disappearing in politics today, but I am the bearer of the politics of ideology, and I am with the Congress ideology. Therefore, rejecting all personal hatred towards me, I have full support for the Congress-backed candidate in the Rupauli assembly constituency.”

Bima Bharti seeks the support of Pappu Yadav:

Bima Bharti, an RJD candidate, met Pappu Yadav on June 30 to seek his support.

Pappu Yadav expressed his backing for candidates who align with the ideology of Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and the Congress. He emphasized that his ideology is incompatible with the NDA.

“I urged the people of Rupauli to support Bima Bharti, expressing hope that they would forgive her past mistakes. He promised that, following the election, he would prioritize the development of Rupauli and requested the people to stand with Bima Bharti,” Yadav said.

Bye-poll in Rupauli is taking place due to the resignation of Bima Bharti:

Previously an MLA from Rupauli, Bharti resigned before the Lok Sabha elections, left JD (U), joined RJD, and contested from the Purnea seat, which she lost.

The bye-election for the Rupauli assembly seat is scheduled for July 10th, with RJD’s Bima Bharti and JD (U)’s Kaladhar Mandal contesting.
