Nitish Kumar reviewed preparations for Khelo India Youth Games 2025 in Bihar.

Patna, April 27, 2025: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday conducted a thorough review of preparations for the upcoming Khelo India Youth Games 2025 at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna.

He inspected various facilities including the Central Control and Command Centre, Conference Hall, Stadium, Indoor Stadium and other areas, and provided necessary guidelines to officials to ensure smooth conduct of the event.

Nitish Kumar also observed the practice sessions by players and artists, who are rehearsing for the grand opening ceremony, scheduled on May 4

A major highlight of the preparations is the creation of the world’s largest Madhubani painting, which will be unveiled during the opening ceremony.

The Guinness World Record certificate for this achievement was formally handed over to Nitish Kumar.

The painting was created by 50 artists from the Mithila Chitrakala Sansthan, Saurath (Madhubani district), after 50 continuous hours of work.

Nitish Kumar honored Padma Shri Awardee:

The Chief Minister especially honoured Padma Shri Awardee Baua Devi for her pivotal role in completing this remarkable artwork.

In addition to the Madhubani painting, the Guinness World Record certificate for a mass performance involving 375 Bal Lamas with singing bowls was also presented to the Chief Minister during the program.

PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Khelo India Youth Game:

For the first time, Bihar is hosting the prestigious Khelo India Youth Games from 4 May to 15 May 2025.

The game will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 4 May and 8,500 players, 1,500 coaches and technical officials from 28 states and 8 union territories will participate in 28 different sports events.

The venues for these sports events will be held in five cities across Bihar Patna, Gaya, Rajgir, Bhagalpur and Begusarai.

On this occasion, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr.S. Siddhartha, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Special Officer to the Chief Minister Gopal Singh, Director General cum Chief Executive Officer of Bihar State Sports Authority Ravindranath Shankar and other senior officers were present.
