Mukesh Sahani claimed Nishad’s reservation is his top priority ahead of Bihar polls 2025.

Patna April 26, 2025: Vikasheel Insaan party (VIP) chief and former Bihar minister Mukesh Sahani made it clear on Saturday that securing reservations for the Nishad community remains the top priority for his party.
Addressing party workers under the “Nishad Reservation Sankalp Yatra-3.0: Sarkar Banao, Adhikar Paao” campaign in Dehri-on-Sone, Rohtas, Sahani asserted: “Our struggle for Nishad reservation will continue. It is said that strength lies with those in power. Today, we have strength. When our government is formed, we will have the power too.”
Mukesh Sahani outlined the VIP’s plans for the upcoming elections:
He appealed to the workers of VIP to focus on grassroots mobilization to fight for the rights of the Nishad and other marginalized communities.
He also emphasized support for the Mahagathbandhan alliance and work towards forming a government, promising to elevate leaders from extremely backward classes by giving them tickets in half the seats they contest.
“In the coming election, if the Mahagathbandhan forms the government and Tejashwi Yadav becomes the Chief Minister, then your son meaning me will sit on the second chair of the government as Deputy Chief Minister,” Sahani said, igniting enthusiasm among the workers.

He also strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating: “PM Modi will not give reservation to Nishad. We do not want five kilos of rice; we want jobs for our sons. Those who are distributing rice are doing so with the public’s money, not from their own pockets.”
Mukesh Sahani claimed Narendra Modi will never give reservations to the Nishad community:
Mukesh Sahani accused the Prime Minister of forgetting the voters after the elections and failing to deliver on promises made to marginalized communities.
He concluded his address with a call to action: “We must strengthen the forces of social justice, fight for our rights and secure our place. Victory will be ours.”
Sahani’s speech underscores his party’s focus on social justice, empowerment of backward classes, and the importance of grassroots mobilization ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
