Nitish Kumar assures NDA loyalty and admitted he made mistakes 2-time in the past.

Patna March 30, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reaffirmed his commitment to the NDA, stating that he had made a mistake twice before by leaving, but this will not happen again.

Speaking at a Cooperative Department event at Bapu Auditorium in Patna, where Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present, Kumar emphasized the transformative development in Bihar under his leadership.

Nitish Kumar reaffirming commitment to NDA:

Nitish Kumar acknowledged his past mistakes of exiting the NDA twice but assured that this time; he would remain in the alliance.

His statement comes as a strong signal of political stability within NDA ahead of the 2025 Bihar elections.

He credited Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the success of cooperative schemes in Bihar, stating: “People are benefiting on a large scale through the cooperative sector. Amit Shah’s tenure as Union Cooperative Minister has helped Bihar and the entire country.”

Attack on Lalu Yadav and RJD’s governance:

Nitish Kumar blamed former Chief Ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi for Bihar’s poor condition before 2005, stating: “Before November 24, 2005, there was no development in Bihar. People were afraid of evening. Today, we have transformed Bihar in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.”

His statement aligns with NDA’s narrative of contrasting his tenure with RJD’s so-called ‘Jungle Raj’.

Nitish Kumar highlighted the Jeevika scheme as a major success of his government, stating that it was later adopted at the national level as the Ajeevika scheme during the Congress-led UPA government.

Jeevika has been instrumental in empowering women through self-help groups across Bihar.

The Chief Minister claimed that incidents of Hindu-Muslim clashes were common earlier but is now under control.

This statement is a direct response to allegations of misgovernance of RJD, reinforcing that Bihar has become more peaceful and stable under his leadership.

Nitish Kumar boasted a tenfold increase in Bihar’s state budget since 2005, attributing this to NDA’s focus on governance and economic development.

With Amit Shah present, Nitish Kumar’s statement served as a strong endorsement of NDA’s governance in Bihar.
