Mukesh Sahani criticized Chirag Paswan Nitish Kumar ahead of Bihar polls 2025.

Patna, April 22, 2025: Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani launched a scathing attack on Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan, accusing him of lacking the political courage of his father, late Ram Vilas Paswan.

Speaking to the media in Patna on Tuesday, Sahani said, “Ram Vilas Paswan fought for Dalits, EBCs and OBCs. He even withdrew support from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, which led to its fall. Chirag however, lacks that courage.”

Mukesh Sahani alleged that the BJP used Chirag during the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections to weaken Nitish Kumar, only to sideline him later.

“His party was broken. He was removed from the house in Delhi.

Still, he calls himself the ‘Hanuman’ of PM Modi. He cannot have the capacity contest all 243 seats; winning 4-5 would be a big deal,” Sahani said.

Mukesh Sahani dismissed talks of joining NDA:

Responding to Dilip Jaiswal’s statement that Sahani might return to the NDA fold, the VIP chief strongly denied it, saying: “He is dreaming. He’s scared because he knows if I stay out of NDA, their government won’t be formed in Bihar.”

Mukesh Sahani criticized Nitish Kumar’s leadership:

Sahani also took a direct swipe at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, calling him “unconscious” and alleging that bureaucrats are running the state with no accountability to the public.

“From 2005 to 2010, Nitish Kumar did good work, but since then he has only shifted alliances to save his chair. Now his health is not good, and the administration is in the hands of officers. This is bad for democracy,” he said.

Sahani’s remarks come amid increasing political churn in Bihar, with alliances shifting and leaders jostling for influence ahead of the next assembly elections
