Lalu Prasad Yadav grabbed the lands of poor in land for job scam, says PM Narendra Modi.
Patna: PM Narendra Modi, while starting the Lok Sabha campaign in Bihar on Thursday targeted RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav for the IRCTC land for job scam in the country. He also blamed him for grabbing the land of poor people.
While addressing a rally in Bihar’s Jamui district, PM Modi without taking the name of Lalu Prasad Yadav, said: “They have grabbed the lands of poor people to give jobs in railways. Such people can never do you any good. Nitish Kumar was also the union railway minister of the country but there was no complaint about him. During the Congress and RJD government, the conditions of trains were in bad shape and now trains like Vande Bharat express are running in the country. It will soon run on every route. We also want to make the railway station of Bihar world class. The facilities in railway stations will be similar to airports. We are making highways and expressways in Bihar and Nitish Kumar helping in it,” he said.
PM Modi also said that RJD and Congress were responsible for the Naxalism and Jungle Raj in Bihar.
“Everyone knows what kind of identity was created for Bihar during the RJD and Congress government. There was Naxalism and Jungle Raj in Bihar. Naxal operatives were not allowed to construct roads in places like Jamui and farmers, labourers and poor people were affected with it. Now, Naxalism is finished in Bihar. The naxal operatives were surrendering and joining in the mainstream of the society. Their children are going to schools,” PM Modi said.
PM Modi also said that justice has not happened with Bihar since independence.
“Bihar not get justice after independence. We have taken Bihar out of the swamp and Nitish Kumar has played a crucial role in it,” he said.
“At present, all corrupt people have made an alliance against me. We have a slogan of corruption Hatao and they have a slogan of corruption Bulao. We have constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya and RJD and Congress tried their best to ensure that Ram temple was not built. They have insulted Karpoori Thakur and we have given him Bharat Ratna,” PM Modi said.
“The 2024 Lok Sabha is decisive for Bihar and the country. This is an election to develop the country. 10 years ago, the people of the world considered India as a poor country. Smaller countries used to execute terrorist attacks here and Congress leaders were complaining at the world forum. Now, this is the Narendra Modi government and we enter their countries and kill them. People of the world are looking towards India. Our country is turning out 5th largest economy in the world. India did the G 20 summit in New Delhi and the entire world paid attention to it. The credit of such a successful event goes to common voters of the country,” he said.
“We did many welfare programmes for the common people in the last 10 years but those were just a trailer. We have a dream to make India a developed country. Your dream is my resolution and this is the guarantee of Modi,” PM Modi said.
PM Narendra Modi also remembered his old friend Late Ram Vilas Paswan during the rally.
“The people of Bihar have given me great support but I am missing my friend Ram Vilas Paswan today. He is not with us today. His son Chirag Paswan is promoting his ideology in Bihar. I want to appeal to the people of Jamui to vote for Arun Bharti, it will go to Ram Vilas Paswan,” he said.
PM Narendra Modi also said that the 85 lakh farmers were benefitted with PM Samman Nidhi programme, 37 lakh houses were constructed for poor people in Bihar, 84 lakh Aayushman Bharat card registered in Bihar, vaccination of animals and many other programmes launched by the central government.
