Patna, August 14, 2025: Bhojpuri superstar and singer Khesari Lal Yadav met Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav in Patna on Thursday, sparking political speculation.
Stepping out of Tejashwi’s residence, Khesari Lal Yadav clarified that his visit was personal, not political.
Khesari Lal Yadav dismissed rumours of contesting the Bihar Assembly elections, saying, “Tejashwi Yadav is my elder brother. I came to seek his blessings and enquire about the health of Uncle Lalu Prasad Yadav. There is no political agenda.”
Khesari Lal Yadav is satisfied with films:
Calling himself a hero who keeps making noise, Khesari said he supports whoever works for Bihar’s betterment.
“The public will decide who can do better. I am contributing in my own way—making good films and singing good songs. I am doing well in my field,” he said.
When asked if he had prepared a campaign song for the Bihar Assembly polls, he replied, “I don’t sing for elections, I sing only for the public.”
Khesari Lal Yadav claimed Tejashwi is a good young leader:
Calling Tejashwi Yadav a good young leader, he said, “ The people of Bihar understand this better than me. I live in Mumbai, but I see the respect and support he commends.”

On contesting elections, Khesari Lal Yadav firmly said, “I won’t contest the election. I don’t talk about tomorrow, I talk about today. Today I am a hero and an artist, and I want to do my work well.”
“Tejashwi Bhaiya (Brother) always says Babu, you should contest elections, but I always say no,” he added.
