Jan Suraj architect said powerful people are stopping SK Singh from fighting by-polls.

Patna October 21, 2024: Prashant Kishor, the Jan Suraj architect, has voiced concerns that powerful individuals, including sand and land trader groups, are actively attempting to prevent Lt General Krishna Singh from contesting the by-election in the Tarari assembly constituency.

Kishor remarks came after questions were raised by the district administration of Bhojpur about Singh’s eligibility to contest the Tarari seat, citing his absence from the Bihar voter list, which is a requirement for state assembly and council election.

Jan Suraj architect claimed his fight will continue against land and sand traders:

According to the Jan Suraj architect, the opposition to Singh’s candidacy stems from his commitment to combating the sand and land traders that operate in the region.

“Despite the obstacles, Jan Suraj Party would continue to fight against these vested interests, whether or not Krishna Singh is permitted to contest. If Singh would not be allowed to contest, another strong candidate will be fielded by the party for Tarari by-poll,” Kishor said.

The Jan Suraj architect said the issue arose because Singh, despite being a native of Tarari, shifted his voter registration to Noida after his wife’s passing, where he currently resides.

Although his name was on Bihar’s voter list until 2020, the relocation has become a technical barrier.

“He has done the necessary paperwork including Form 8A for voter registration changes, which has already been submitted, but the election commission and the local authorities appear to be using the situation to hinder Singh’s entry into the election,” the Jan Suraj architect said.

He also framed this situation as part of a larger issue of pro-incumbency, where even someone with Singh’s distinguished military background and local roots is being obstructed by bureaucratic technicalities.

He remains confident that the matter will be clarified soon, and if necessary, the Jan Suraj Party will continue its fight through another candidate.

Jan Suraj architect challenged Tejashwi Yadav to contest from Ramgarh:

The Jan Suraj architect has issued a bold challenge to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, inviting him to contest the by-election from Ramgarh.

“If Tejashwi Yadav would decide to contest in Ramgarh, I would personally contest against him,” Kishor said.

He also asserted that Ajit Kumar Singh, the RJD candidate and son of the party’s state president Jagadanand Singh would not even secure a second position in the election. He emphasized that this time, the people of Ramgarh must choose whether a leader’s son will continue the political legacy or if a common man’s son will rise to power.

Jan Suraj will announce the Ramgarh candidate in a day or two:

The Jan Suraj architect also revealed the names of five potential Jan Suraj candidates for the Ramgarh assembly: Vinayak Prasad Jaiswal, Shamim Ahmed, Anand Singh, Sushil Kushwaha and Ramnarayan Ram. One of these five will be selected to contest the by-poll under the Jan Suraj banner, with an official announcement expected in a day or two.

Additionally, Kishor provided a timeline for his party’s nomination filling, with Jan Suraj candidates set to file their nomination from Belaganj and Imamganj on October 24 and from Tarari and Ramgarh on October 25.

This strategic move reflects Jan Suraj’s growing confidence and determination to challenge the political establishment in Bihar.

The last date for nominations is October 25, 2024, and the deadline for withdrawal of candidacy by October 30, 2024, the date of polling is November 13, 2024, and the result will be announced on November 23, 2024.

The by-elections will be a crucial test for all political parties involved, as they seek to strengthen their foothold ahead of future electoral contests in Bihar in 2025.
