Patna July 21: On the line of Uttar Pradesh, workers of a Hindu organization called Hindu Shiv Bhawani Sena have demanded the Bihar and Jharkhand governments mandate street vendors display nameplates before their stalls on the Kanwariya route from Sultanganj in Bhagalpur district to Deoghar in Jharkhand of Bihar.
Earlier, Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul, the BJP MLA from Bipsi in Madhubani district had previously made a similar demand to the Nitish Kumar government regarding this issue.
Hindu organization installed poster: A poster in this regard was placed on the streets of Patna on Sunday. The poster was Installed by the chief of the Hindu Shiv Bhawani Sena Lav Kumar Singh Rudra.
“People are doing politics over the decision of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, but I want to say that his decision is appreciable. The “Kanwar Yatra” has some religious rules which must be followed by the devotees. Thus, it would be wise to reveal the names of the vendors outside their stalls. This is not a matter of politics but related to religious beliefs,” Rudra, said.
One-month fair for Lord Shiva’s Devotees: The Shravani Fair is set to start on July 22 and it will last for one month. During that period, lakhs of devotees of Lord Shiva collect water in their Kanwar from the bank of the Ganga River at Sultanganj and walk to Deoghar 105 km and the street vendors typically set up makeshift stalls on both sides of the stretch. Around a 90 km stretch on this route comes under the territories of Bihar.
