Giriraj Singh criticized Congress over historical mistakes and defended Modi against Rahul’s allegations.

Patna, June 12, 2025: Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh has hit back at the Congress party and its leadership, defending Prime Minister Narendra Modi against recent allegations by Rahul Gandhi, and accusing the Congress of committing historical blunders that weakened India’s global standing.

Giriraj Singh defended the foreign policy of the Modi government:

The Union Minister strongly defended Modi’s foreign policy approach, claiming, “Narendra Modi has fought for the honor of India by correcting the mistakes of Nehru and Congress.”

He added, “Congress made strategic errors like taking the Kashmir issue to the United Nations, mishandling the Tibet matter, and losing 34,000 square kilometers of land to China.”

Singh also commented on the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, saying, “Although Indira Gandhi played a role in liberating Bangladesh, timely action could have made a greater difference.”

He emphasized that the “series of mistakes” committed by the Congress has continued over the decades, while “Modi has restored India’s respect globally. Today, Indians are honored across the world, and this transformation is due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

He also reacted to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Singh said, “He has grown old, but still hasn’t freed himself from the family tales of the Gandhi dynasty.”

Giriraj Singh’s statement came after Rahul Gandhi’s surrender remarks:

The remarks came in the backdrop of Rahul Gandhi’s fierce criticism of Modi during the Samvidhan Sammelan held in Rajgir on June 6.

Gandhi had alleged that PM Modi “surrendered” under pressure from then-US President Donald Trump during Operation Sindoor, accusing the Prime Minister of failing to deny Trump’s repeated public claims.

“Trump claimed 11 times that he forced PM Modi to agree to a ceasefire. Modi never denied it. If Trump was lying, why hasn’t Modi spoken up?

Because Trump is telling the truth. I knew Modi would surrender under pressure it’s his habit,” Rahul Gandhi had said.
