Patna, August 16, 2025: Giriraj Singh, the Union Textile Minister, during his visit to his parliamentary constituency, Begusarai, launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of indulging in vote bank politics and misleading people over the issue of the voter list.

Calling Rahul Gandhi a dishonest person, Singh alleged that the Congress leader comes to Bihar only to create drama.

The statement of Giriraj Singh came ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Bihar, where he will start Vote Adhikar Yatra from Sasaram.

Giriraj Singh criticized Rahul for not filing affidavits:

He dismissed Gandhi’s claim that 65 lakh names were deleted from the voter list, questioning why not even 65 thousand affidavits were filed in the Supreme Court in this regard.

He lies every time and later apologizes. This time, too, he will apologize. He is trying to spread anarchy in the country,” Singh said while mocking Gandhi’s Karnataka school visit, where he was seen teaching on a blackboard.

Accusing the Congress of being a party that has stolen democracy, Singh said the Gandhi family has a dictatorial mindset and does not respect court orders.

Giriraj Singh highlighted the emergency:

Drawing a parallel with the Emergency imposed by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, he alleged that Rahul Gandhi is following the same tradition.

Singh charged that Congress’s intention was to secure votes from Rohingyas and Bangladeshis to continue its politics, while praising PM Narendra Modi as a Messiah of the poor.
