Patna, April 15, 2024: Four people, including two women, were injured in a leopard attack in Bihar’s Bhojpur district on Monday.
The incident took place at Rajputan Pachauna village under the Koilwar police station limits.
Victims of leopard attacks admitted to Sadar Hospital:
The injured were rushed to Sadar Hospital, Arrah, where doctors said their condition was stable. Two of the victims have been identified as Asha Devi and Arjun Ram.
“We have admitted four persons to the hospital. They sustained injuries in a wildcat attack,” said Dr. Rishi Kumar, medical officer at Sadar Hospital.
Wildlife officers launched a massive search to trace the leopard:
Following the incident, two teams of the wildlife department, along with local police, launched a search operation.
Officials suspect the leopard may have strayed into human habitation in search of food and water.
“We are making efforts to capture the wildcat. Wildlife teams from Patna and Buxar have reached the spot, and the search operation is underway in the region,” said Narottam Chandra, SHO of Koilwar police station.
