CPI will announce the names of candidates for the Lok Sabha poll on Friday.

Patna: After RJD gave the tickets to four candidates for the first phase of Lok Sabha election in Bihar, CPI general secretary D Raja met with RJD national president Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday.

After the meeting, D Raja said that he will announce the names of candidates of his party on Friday.

“We have discussed the seat sharing formula of Mahagathbandhan and I will announce the names of the candidates of my party on Friday,” D Raja said.

Besides D Raja, Congress state president Akhilesh Singh also met with Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday. Earlier, RJD gave the symbol of the party to four candidates to contest the Lok Sabha election in the first phase. This could be the reason why these two leaders reached the house of Lalu Prasad Yadav in a hurry.

RJD gave the tickets to Kumar Sarvjeet for Gaya, Abhay Kushwaha to contest Aurangabad, Shrawan Kushwaha to contest Nawada Lok Sabha constituencies and Archana Ravidas to contest the Lok Sabha election from Jamui.

The first phase of Lok Sabha election in Bihar will be held on April 19.
