CM Nitish Kumar reviews Pragati Yatra announcement; Directs officials to speed up work on Rs 50,000 crore projects.

Patna, December 10, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday reviewed the development projects announced during his Pragati Yatra and instructed officials to accelerate their execution.

The high-level meeting was held at Sankalp Hall inside the Chief Minister’s official residence at 1 Anne Marg, Patna.

“Today, at Sankalp, I reviewed the development plans announced during the Pragati Yatra and directed the concerned officials to expedite their completion,” Kumar said.

430 schemes during Nitish Kumar’s Pragati Yatra were approved:  

During the meeting, officials briefed CM Nitish Kumar that 430 schemes related to 22 departments were approved during the Pragati Yatra.

The Chief Minister had inspected ongoing development works across all districts during the Yatra between December 2024 and February 2025.

He said the new schemes were formulated based on public feedback and emerging needs across districts.

A total of Rs 50,000 crore will be spent on these schemes,” Kumar said, adding that all regions and sections of the state are being developed in a planned manner.

CM Kumar directed that all public welfare schemes be implemented with sensitivity, urgency, and accountability, reiterating his goals.

“We want Bihar to be included in the category of the most developed states in the country,” he said.

Focus on industrialization and jobs:   

Since the NDA’s sweeping victory in the recent Assembly elections, Nitish Kumar has been visibly active.

His major focus has been on industrialization, employment generation and speedy governance reforms.

During the election campaign, Kumar had promised 1 crore jobs or employment opportunities.

To achieve this, the state cabinet had approved the creation of three new departments, taking Bihar’s total to 48 departments, specially designed to accelerate progress toward the government’s employment goals.
