Patna, October 9, 2026: Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan has said that India’s youth cannot be stopped, commenting on reporting on reports of train cancellations ahead of a proposed protest by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on October 10.

Speaking to reporters after arriving in Kundli, Sonipat, Haryana, on Friday, Paswan questioned the extent to which transport disruptions could prevent young people from reaching their destination.

He asked how many trains could be stopped, how much connectivity could be disrupted, and how many roads could be blocked.

The protest, announced by the CJP, is expected to raise several demands, including the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Reports of train cancellations affecting services to Delhi from states such as Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have also drawn attention ahead of the demonstration.

Chirag Paswan advocates dialogue with the election commission:

Earlier on Thursday, Chirag Paswan urged political parties with concerns about the electoral process to approach the Election Commission and seek answers through dialogue.

He said peaceful protests were a democratic right but questioned whether political parties were genuinely seeking solutions or primarily trying to register their opposition through demonstrations.

Describing the Election Commission as an independent constitutional body, Chirag Paswan said political parties could seek appointments and present their concerns through delegations.

He argued that discussions with the Commission should be the first step towards resolving disputes.

He added that parties dissatisfied with the Commission’s responses could hold press conferences or stage protests.

However, he questioned the impact of demonstrations that inconvenience ordinary citizens, including protests that disrupt movement on roads.

CJP protest scheduled for October 10:

The CJP has announced a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on October 10, with demands including the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Security arrangements are reportedly being reviewed ahead of the demonstration, while reports of train cancellations have raised concerns about connectivity for passengers travelling to the national capital.

Chirag Paswan’s remarks underline his stated preference for resolving electoral disputes through discussions with the Election Commission, while the proposed protest is expected to bring the organizers’ demands into public focus.
