Chirag Paswan said Bihar gets special benefits through the union budget 2025.

Patna February 1, 2025: Union Food Procession Minister Chirag Paswan welcomed the Union Budget 2025 and said Bihar has received special attention in it.

The Union Budget was presented by the central government today, with several major projects announced for the state’s development.

Union Minister Chirag Paswan expressed his pride, stating, “Being a Bihari, I am proud that Bihar has received the gift of many big projects.”

Chirag Paswan mentioned key initiatives announced in the Union Budget 2025:

Chirag Paswan highlighted key initiatives, including the Western Kosi Canal Project, which is expected to benefit farmers cultivating 50,000 hectares of land. Significantly boosting agricultural productivity.

Additionally, the Mithila region will witness accelerated development with enhanced infrastructure support. Three new Greenfield airports have been sanctioned to cater to Bihar’s growing aviation needs, complementing the ongoing expansion of Patna Airport and the airport in Bihta.

The UDAN scheme, aimed at regional air connectivity, has been revamped to further strengthen air travel accessibility across the state.

Chirag Paswan thanked PM Narendra Modi and FM Nirmala Sitharanam:

Chirag Paswan credited the NDA-led double-engine government for Bihar’s development roadmap, stating, “This government is laying the foundation of a developed Bihar. On behalf of all Biharis, I express my heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.”

With these major announcements, Bihar is set to witness rapid progress across multiple sectors, reinforcing the state’s economic and infrastructural growth.

During the Union Budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the formation of the Makhana Board in Bihar and the expansion of IIT Patna by enhancing the infrastructure and academic programs of the premier institute to foster higher education and research.

She also announced the establishment of the National Food Technology Institute in Bihar.
