Patna July 30: BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal criticized the opposition leaders for doing politics over train accidents on Tuesday.
The statement of Dilip Jaiswal came soon after Lalu Prasad Yadav expressed concern over frequent train accidents. Lalu Prasad Yadav said that 7 train tragedies happened in the last 13 days in the country.
The BJP state president accused opposition leaders of engaging in “Cheap Politics” and running political agendas over the train accidents. He claimed they lack genuine issues to address.
“The opposition leaders are doing chip politics over the accidents. They do not have any issues and hence doing running political shops over train accidents,” the BJP state president said.
“The inquiry will take place to find out why and how the accident took place in Jharkhand. The concerned department will investigate why accidents are happening in the last one and half months including on the day of budget. The people of the country would not forgive them for allegedly exploiting the tragedies for political gain. One should not stoop so low to attain power,” Jaiswal said.
The statement of the BJP state president came after RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav expressed concern over the frequent accident on Tuesday.
While uploading a post on his official X handle, Lalu Prasad Yadav said: “Seven train accidents had occurred within 13 days in the country. Regular train accidents are a matter of great concern. The government is not even taking basic steps to ensure safety in trains.”
“Indian Railways has become so unsafe that before boarding the trains, passengers pray that this journey should not be their last journey. Railway coaches have become like moving coffins,” Lalu Prasad Yadav said.
