Ashwini Kumar Choubey does not know why BJP cut his ticket.

Patna: Former union minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey broke his silence after 15 days and said he does not understand why the party has cancelled his ticket to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

“Today, I am breaking the silence after 15 days. I do not understand why the party has cancelled my ticket. What was my fault that the party had not given him a ticket to contest the election. They probably cancelled my ticket because I am Brahmin,” Choubey said while interacting with the media persons in Patna on Monday.

“I have no resentment towards the party. I have been in active politics for many years from RSS to BJP. BJP is my mother and I will work for it. It has given me a lot of things. Some people said that I may leave active politics but I want to tell them that they are wrong,” Choubey said.

The party has given a slogan of “Abki Baar 400 Paar” and it will be achieved in this election,” Choubey said.

BJP is contesting on 17 seats in Bihar and it has cancelled the tickets of two sitting MPs including Ashwini Kumar Choubey. He is the sitting MP of Bihar’s Buxar Lok Sabha constituency. The other sitting MP was Ajay Nishad of Muzaffarpur. Ajay Nishad however resigned from the party and joined Congress to contest the election from Muzaffarpur.

BJP has given Mithilesh Tiwari to contest from Buxar and Raj Bhushan Nishad to contest from Muzaffarpur.
