Nitish Kumar reviewed preparations for Patna’s 1st grand air show on Shaurya Diwas.

Patna, April 18, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday reviewed the preparations for the upcoming air show event to be held on April 23 near J.P Ganga Path, organized as part of Shaurya Diwas celebrations.

For the first time ever, Patna will witness an aerial performance by the Indian Air Force’s elite Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team, who will perform breathtaking stunts using 9 Hawk-132 jet planes.

Viewing arrangements are being set up at J.P. Ganga Path, particularly in front of Sabhyata Dwar, located east of the underpass and near the Divisional Commissioner’s Office.

This spot on the banks of the Ganga River will serve as the main viewing gallery for attendees.

Nitish Kumar instructed for full security agreement:

During his inspection, CM Nitish Kumar directed officials to prioritize crowd management, public convenience, and tight security.

He emphasized ensuring smooth coordination for the event, which is expected to draw a massive crowd.

As part of the festivities, a full-dress rehearsal of the air show will take place on April 22, with a special invitation extended to school and college students to witness the display and draw inspiration from the Indian Air Force.

The official air show on April 23 will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, with both events scheduled from 10:15 AM  to 12:15 PM.

The event will be a tribute to war heroes:

The event is expected to be a spectacular tribute to Babu Veer Kunwar Singh, the iconic leader of the 1857 revolt, whose birth anniversary is being commemorated through this grand initiative.

The air show is being hailed as a moment of pride and inspiration for the people of Bihar, showcasing military might and patriotism while honoring one of the state’s greatest historical heroes.
