Tejashwi Yadav launches scathing attack on Nitish Kumar’s leadership.

Patna January 8, 2025: Former Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav intensified his attack on CM Nitish Kumar of failing to address issues of state and squandering public resources on ineffective governance.
In a social media post, Tejashwi Yadav alleged that the Chief Minister had lost the ability to lead effectively.
“The tired Chief Minister, along with retired officials, has turned the hopes of the youth of Bihar into disappointments.”
He further ridiculed the ongoing Pragati Yatra, calling it a “Durgati Yatra” with an alleged expenditure of Rs. 225.78 crore on travel-associated activities.
Tejashwi Yadav claims of false propaganda:
Tejashwi Yadav accused Nitish Kumar’s government of misusing public funds on advertising campaigns to mask administrative failures. He claimed the state government had prioritized optics over addressing pressing issues, leading to widespread discontent among the people of Bihar.
Tejashwi Yadav claimed that instead of fostering prosperity, the Nitish Kumar government has driven Bihar into poverty and despair, saying. “The state government has ruined the lives of Biharis and thrown the progress of Bihar into misery.”
The RJD leader highlighted several areas of alleged failure under Nitish Kumar tenure: “Hundreds of bridges collapse in one session of monsoon,” Tejashwi said, emphasizing poor planning and corruption in infrastructure projects.
He alleged that for two decades, exam paper leaks and rigging have marred Bihar’s education system, crushing the aspirations of students.
Tejashwi Yadav pointed out that the state is grappling with inflation and the collapse of both small and large businesses, leaving Bihar at the bottom in economic growth indicators.
He accused the Nitish government of perpetuating poverty, unemployment, corruption, and migration, positioning Bihar as the worst-performing state on these fronts. The remarks come amid the chief Minister’s Pragati Yatra, where Nitish Kumar has been emphasizing his government’s achievements. However, opposition leaders, led by Tejashwi Yadav, have branded these tours as expensive publicity stunts, detached from the ground realities of Bihar’s challenges.
Implications for 2025 Elections:
Tejashwi’s pointed critique is of a broader strategy to consolidate discontent among the youth, unemployed, and small business owners, presenting himself as a credible alternative for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections.
