Four injured in a leopard attack in Bhojpur.

Patna, April 15: Four persons were injured in a leopard attack in Bihar’s Bhojpur district on Monday.

The incident occurred at Rajputan Pachauna village under Koilwar police station in the district. The injured persons including two women were admitted in Sadar hospital Arrah and their conditions are said to be stable. Two of the injured persons are identified as Asha Devi and Arjun Ram.

Following the incident, two teams of wildlife department and local police reached the place and initiated a search operation. The wild cat may stray towards the human population in search of food and water.

“We have admitted four persons in Sadar hospital. They have sustained injuries due to leopard attack,” said Dr Rishi Kumar, a medical officer of Sadar hospital Arrah.

“We are making efforts to capture the wild cat. Wildlife teams of Patna and Buxar reached the spot. The search operation is currently underway in the region,” Narottam Chandra, SHO of Koilwar.
