Purnea Police raided the office of Pappu Yadav and scanned the documents of his vehicles.

Patna, April 11, 2024: Purnea police conducted a raid at the office of five-time MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav on Thursday evening to verify whether he had obtained the required permissions from the Election Commission for vehicles used in his election campaign.

According to SDPO (Sadar Pushkar Kumar, the team examined documents related to multiple vehicles, including a DJ vehicle.

“We went there to investigate vehicles being used in the campaign. They told us they had taken prior permission from the authority. We will verify the documents in the single-window system, and if any violation is found, action will be taken as per law,” he said.

Reacting to the Purnea police action, Yadav claimed he had already taken all necessary permissions.

“We were decorating the election campaign vehicle when the police arrived. I have a threat, yet my security was withdrawn the day I joined Congress. The police team threatened my staff and tried to seize my vehicle,” he said.

Pappu Yadav criticized the NDA government:

Later, Yadav took a social media platform X, posting, “How much lower will this government stoop? How much will you trouble the son of Purnea? The people of Purnea will give you an appropriate answer. I like your fear of losing the battle of the Lok Sabha election.”

Yadav is contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha election from Purnea as an independent candidate.
