The Cabinet approved new electric vehicles for Patna High Court judges:
The Bihar Cabinet approved a proposal related to the procurement of 10 new vehicles for judges of the Patna High Court.
Since adequate funds were reportedly unavailable in the 2026-27 financial year budget, the government approved an advance sanction of approximately Rs 3.80 crore from the Bihar State Contingency Fund for the purchase of electric and hybrid vehicles.
The move is aimed at promoting eco-friendly and modern transportation facilities for the judiciary.
Bihar Raiyati land purchase policy-2026 approved:
One of the key decisions taken during the meeting was the approval of the Bihar Raiyati Land Purchase Policy-2026 to streamline the acquisition of privately owned land for central and state government projects.
Under the policy, in urban areas, compensation will be provided at twice the market value of the circle rate, whichever is higher, and in rural areas, compensation will be fixed at four times the market value or the circle rate, whichever is higher.
An additional 10 percent incentive bonus will also be paid.

The cabinet further approved the exemption of the acquired land from stamp duty and registration fees.
The government stated that the policy is intended to simplify land acquisition for infrastructure and development projects.
More than 100 posts created:
The Cabinet also approved the creation of more than 100 new government posts across various departments.
Approval was granted for the creation of 57 new posts under the Directorate of Special Planning, where nine new sections are proposed to be established.
The government also approved the creation of 55 new posts for six newly constructed sections, utilizing seven previously sanctioned posts.
Additionally, 29 new posts were approved for the establishment of an independent Spine-Sub-Specialty Unit under the Orthopedics Department at Patna Medical College and Hospital.
The cabinet decision indicates the Bihar government’s emphasis on administrative strengthening, expansion of healthcare infrastructure, youth welfare and skill development projects, and promotion of green transportation initiatives.
The approved measures are expected to support upcoming government projects and institutional expansion across the state.
