Lalu Prasad’s son should first listen to his father’s speech in Parliament, where he mentioned how Waqf lands, like at Patna’s Dakbangla Chaurah, were being misused,” he said. Pandey blamed elite interests for the uproar.
‘Those who once dominated or bullied the system are now the ones in pain. The common Muslims, especially the Pasmanda section, are happy with the bill. This is a bill of justice,” Pandey said.
Pandey further claimed that the protests were politically motivated. “The opposition is not opposing the Waqf Bill.
They are opposing Narendra Modi because they fear his rising popularity,” he said. Dilip Jaiswal Targets Lalu Prasad: ‘’The Real Face Is Exposed”:
BJP Bihar President Dilip Jaiswal took a direct swipe at Lalu Prasad, reiterating his 2010 Lok Sabha speech. Lalu Prasad had once demanded non-bailable warrants against those misusing Waqf land.
Now, when the NDA government has fulfilled that vision democratically, he’s opposing it” Jaiswal said.
In a sharp metaphor, he said:
“They were cleaning the mirror to see clean faces, but the dust was on their own faces”
Governor Arif Mohammad Khan’s Bold Statement

Adding weight to the government’s stance, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan made a strong theological and moral argument in support of the bill.
”Allah’s property is for charity, public welfare, and helping the poor. How many Waqf institutions in Patna are running hospitals or orphanages?” he asked.
“The donor may be from a particular community, but the poor have the right over it,” he said. As the Waqf Amendment Bill heads toward implementation, political friction in Bihar is expected to intensify.
