Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi claimed Gaya soon turned into a thriving industrial hub.
Patna November 29, 2024: Union Minister of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Jitan Ram Manjhi, claims transformative development projects aimed at turning Gaya, Bihar, into a thriving industrial and metropolitan hub.
Speaking to the media persons in Gaya, he outlined a series of initiatives by the central government that promise to reshape the economic and infrastructural landscape of the region.
Jitan Ram Manjhi Reveals Plan of Industrial Corridor in Gaya:
“An industrial corridor in Gaya would strongly boost the area’s development and economic prospects. Gaya will soon become an industrial hub. Road and metro projects would position the district as a key player in Bihar’s industrial growth,” Manjhi said.
He highlights significant infrastructure advancements, including the Amritsar-Kolkata Expressway passes through Gaya, the Amas-Darbhanga Expressway connects major regions and additional cross-road projects between Dobhi and Goria.
These road networks are expected to improve connectivity and spur local development.
Metro City Aspirations:
“Gaya could soon achieve metro city status. The upcoming metro project is anticipated to further modernize the city and elevate its stature,” Manjhi said.
Jitan Ram Manjhi also said that there are plans to divert water from the Son River to the Falgue River with an aim to ensure year-round water availability, benefitting agriculture and local communities. This initiative is expected to enhance irrigation and provide consistent water resources for the region.
He also pointed out the beautification of Gandhi Maidan with a budget of Rs.4 crore, new rail links, including projects connecting Gaya to Daltenganj and Islampur, are in the advanced stages of approval and two new electric plants in Barachatti, contributing to energy sustainability.
Jitan Ram Manjhi credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for these initiatives, calling them a testament to the government’s commitment to the region’s progress.
He expressed gratitude for the central government’s support asserting that these projects would usher in a new era of prosperity for Gaya.
