Patna, December 29, 2025: Bihar Education Minister Sunil Kumar has shared important information regarding the upcoming Teacher Recruitment Examination-4 (TRE-4), bringing relief and renewed hope to lakhs of aspiring teachers across the state.
The minister clarified that the Education Department will send the formal proposal and notification for TRE-4 to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) between January 15 and January 20. Once the notification is received, the BPSC will issue its official advertisement and begin the application and recruitment process.
All Preparations are nearly complete for TRE-4:
Sunil Kumar said that all necessary preparations at the departmental level have been almost completed, and the government is fully prepared to move ahead within the stipulated timeline.
He emphasized that the recruitment process will be transparent, time-bound, and efficient, ensuring that eligible candidates receive appointments without unnecessary delays.
“There will be no delay in the TRE-4 recruitment process. Strengthening the education system is a top priority of the government, and the shortage of teachers in government schools is being addressed urgently,” the minister said.

After TRE-1, TRE-2, and TRE-3, the TRE-4 recruitment drive is expected to generate large-scale employment opportunities for trained and eligible candidates.
The minister’s statement indicates that teacher recruitment will gain momentum at the beginning of 2025, significantly boosting employment prospects for youth while improving classroom teaching across the state.
5,000+ teachers to be appointed on compassionate grounds:
Along with TRE-4, the Education Minister also announced that more than 5,000 teachers will be recruited on compassionate grounds. These appointments aim to provide relief to families whose dependents were deprived of employment due to unforeseen circumstances.
He assured that the compassionate appointment process will also be conducted transparently, with priority given to eligible candidates who have been waiting for a long time.

These appointments will offer much-needed financial stability to affected families.
The government’s dual focus on regular recruitment through TRE-4 and compassionate appointments is expected to significantly strengthen Bihar’s education system.
Filling vacant teaching posts promptly will help ensure that students’ academic activities are not disrupted, while also addressing unemployment in the state.
