Patna, October 26, 2024: The recently concluded nomination process for the two seats in Gaya district has unveiled some remarkable financial disclosures by RJD candidates along with JD(U) and HAMS contesting from Belaganj and Imamganj.
Affidavits filed by these candidates reveal substantial wealth and offer intriguing glimpses into their assets and lifestyles.
RJD candidate loves cattle farming:
Vishwanath Yadav, the RJD candidate from Belaganj, is known for his interest in cattle rearing, including cows and buffaloes.
Vishwanath Yadav is the son of Surendra Prasad Yadav, who resigned from the post of MLA of Belaganj after he won the Lok Sabha election from Jehanabad in the 2024 general election.
The net worth and assets of the RJD candidate total Rs. 83 lakh. He also holds Rs 25 lakh in cash and a bank balance of Rs 22 lakh. Apart from that, he owns Gajanan Construction Company, and her wife also has a company in her name.
RJD candidate holds 3.5 acres of land across four locations valued at Rs. 1 crore 52 lakh 88 thousand. He loves to drive a Mahindra Scorpio worth Rs 24 lakh and owns a pistol worth Rs. 3.5 lakh cattle valued at Rs 4 lakh and possesses over 90 grams of gold.
HAMS candidate owns lands worth crores of rupees in Patna and Gaya:
Deepa Manjhi, the HAMS candidate from Imamganj and daughter-in-law of Union MSME minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, has lands worth several crores in Bodh Gaya and Patna, reflecting substantial real estate investments.
Deepa Manjhi has deposits of Rs 70 lakh across more than six bank accounts.
JD(U) candidate is the richest among them:
Manorama Devi JD(U) candidate from Brlaganj has a net worth of Rs. 4 crores 90 lakh 3841 and also reported Rs 24, 14, 200 as her 2023-24 income, which she filed in the Income Tax Return.
Manorma Devi also owns 8.5 acres of land valued at Rs 4 crore 88 lakh, Rs 75.59 lakh in bank accounts and holds cash of Rs 5,780. She is a shareholder of Rs 50 lakh in Ramya Construction Ltd and also owns shares worth Rs 34 lakh in Bideshwari Infocom. Bindeshwari Infocom is a company of her late husband. Bindeshwari Yadav.
Manorma Devi also has insurance coverage worth Rs 1.63 crore, 100 grams of gold, and a Toyota Fortuner SUV worth Rs 25 lakh.
