The INDIA bloc will announce the seat sharing formula of Bihar on Friday.

Patna, March 28, 2024: The seat-sharing formula of the INDIA bloc for Bihar will be formally announced on Friday, with leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav set to make the declaration.

INDIA bloc seat sharing announced during joint press meet:

A joint press conference will be held at the RJD headquarters in Patna at 12:15 pm, where Yadav, along with other alliance, leaders will reveal the number of seats allocated to each constituent party, along with the names of candidates for all 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar.

“The leaders of the INDIA bloc have called for a joint press conference at the RJD headquarters. Tejashwi Yadav and other leaders will announce the seat-sharing formula on Friday afternoon,” said Chitranjan Gagan, spokesperson of RJD.

For the past three days, leaders of RJD and Congress had been engaged in talks in New Delhi to resolve the issue. According to sources, an agreement has now been reached.

RJD and Congress will contest on 26 and 9 seats respectively:

RJD will contest 26 seats; Congress has been allotted 9 seats. Left parties will together contest 5 seats. This announcement is expected to end the suspense over the INDIA bloc’s Bihar strategy for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
