Patna, September 16, 2025: In a bid to sharpen his campaign ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls, Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, will embark on a five-day tour across the state beginning Tuesday, September 16.
The RJD has named the campaign Bihar Adhikar Yatra, focusing on issues of unemployment and farmers’ welfare.
On September 16, Tejashwi Yadav will go to Jehanabad to start his Yatra. He will address a gathering at Gandhi Maidan, Jehanabad.
After that, the Yatra will head toward Islampur, Hilsa and Fatuha and, before returning to Patna in the evening.
On September 17, Tejashwi Yadav will travel through Raghopur Haat, Barh, Mokama, and Begusarai.
He will stay overnight at the Begusarai Guest House.
On September 18-20, Tejashwi Yadav will continue his outreach in different districts, with RJD expected to release full details of future stops soon.
Tejashwi Yadav’s message:
In a video message on social media, Tejashwi Yadav called on people to join the Yatra, saying it is not just his journey but the journey of unemployed youth, the journey to stop migration, the journey of dignity of farmers, and the journey for the safety and rights of mothers and sisters.”

He also highlighted demands for better education and health services, industrial growth, and fair reservation policies for the poor, deprived, and exploited sections.
Political significance:
The Yatra comes shortly after Tejashwi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra, signalling RJD’s attempt to energize its cadre and expand its reach in the run-up to polls.

The campaign is expected to serve as a counter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mega-development announcements in Purnea on Monday, as both NDA and RJD jostle to frame the poll narrative—development versus rights and social justice.
