Patna, September 3, 2025: Ahead of the crucial 2025 Bihar assembly polls, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) held an important legislative party at Tejashwi Yadav’s Polo Road residence on Wednesday.
The meeting, which began at 2 PM, was attended by all party MLAs and senior leaders and focused on poll strategy, seat sharing, and strengthening organizational hold.
Tejashwi Yadav’s call for aggressive campaigning:
Opening the session, Tejashwi Yadav said the upcoming polls were not just about changing political power but deciding the future direction of Bihar.
He urged MLAs to reach out aggressively and in an organized manner to the public.
The first agenda of the meeting was feedback collection from MLAs on the ground situation, like areas where RJD is strong, constituencies requiring improvement, and public anger points such as unemployment, inflation, and corruption.
Tejashwi Yadav emphasized that in ticket distribution, the hard work of workers and public mood will take precedence over individual ambitions.
Seat-sharing and Mahagathbandhan unity:
Discussions also touched on seat evaluations—deciding where sitting MLAs can retain their seats, where new candidates may be introduced, and assessing profiles of current legislators.
Tejashwi Yadav pointed out that preliminary talks with Congress, VIP and Left allies on seat-sharing have already begun.
After the meeting, leaders reaffirmed that the Mahagathbandhan remains united, with one participant confidently remarking, “This Diwali. We will celebrate.”
Tejashwi Yadav instructed MLAs to organize meetings at the block and panchayat levels and send direct feedback to the party high command.
He also instructed them to mobilize workers to ensure names removed from the voter list are restored.
He reminded them that victory comes from the hard work of grassroots workers, not just leaders.
Reference to Voter Rights Yatra:
Citing his recent Voter Adhikar Yatra, Tejashwi Yadav asked MLAs about public reactions.
Most agreed that the youth and public were vocal about unemployment, corruption, and inflation during the yatra.
