Tejashwi Yadav raised concerns about the 70th combined BPSC examination.

Patna December 5, 2024: Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav has raised serious concerns regarding the 70th  Combined Preliminary Examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), calling attention to issues faced by candidates due to technical and administrative lapses.

In a letter to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he has urged immediate action to address these problems, warning of potential protests if the demands are not met.

Concerns Raised by Tejshwi Yadav:

Many candidates were unable to submit their application forms for the exam due to server malfunctions in the final days before the deadline.

Tejashwi described this as a blow to the candidates’ future and years of hard work.

Tejashwi criticized the ambiguity surrounding the implementation of the normalization process, labelling it as inherently controversial.

He argued that the difficulty of exam questions is subjective and varies with a candidate’s preparation, making normalization an unfair evaluation method.

Transparency and Fair Examination Process:

Candidates reportedly lack complete information about the examination system, including whether normalization will be used.

He emphasized the need for clarity and fairness in the examination process.

“Extend the form filing deadline by five days to allow candidates affected by server issues to apply. Conduct the examination on one day, in a single shift, with one paper and one pattern, ensuring uniformity and fairness and avoid controversial practices like normalization and ensure there are no incidents of paper leaks,” Tejashwi Yadav said.

Tejashwi Yadav warned the Government:

Tejashwi Yadav declared his intent to stand with the candidates, stating, “If the government does not consider the demands of the candidates, then we will fight their battle shoulder to shoulder with the agitators. The NDA government should stop playing with the future and dreams of the students.”

He accused the NDA government and the commission of negligence, adding that calling affected candidates “frivolous” is unjust and undermines their struggles.

Tejashwi Yadav has positioned himself as a vocal advocate for the students and aspirants of Bihar, emphasizing fairness and transparency in competitive examinations. His demands for reform and extended deadlines reflect the concerns of thousands of candidates.

The issue puts pressure on the Bihar government and the BPSC to take corrective measures promptly, ensuring accountability and a fair chance for all aspirants.
