Tejashwi Yadav criticized the Nitish Kumar-led NDA during the 3rd phase of Karyakarta Darshan.
Patna December 4, 2024: Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, launched a sharp attack on the NDA government, particularly its constituent parties, JDU and BJP, and he expressed confidence in securing a victory for his party in the 2025 assembly elections.
Speaking to the media in Munger during his Karyakarta Darshan Saha Samvad program, he criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and highlighted the failures of the current government.
Tejashwi Yadav criticised Nitish Kumar and said him vision less:
Tejashwi Yadav alleged that Nitish Kumar is no longer the driving force of the government.
‘Nitish Kumar is just a mask in the government. The real power lies with the people and officers surrounding him, who are only filling their pockets. He has ruled for 20 years and has no vision left. Now, he is tired.”
Tejashwi Yadav accused the government of corruption and inefficiency, citing examples of paper leaks and the liquor operators.
‘There is a liquor ban, but the liquor operators dominate. The government is working in connivance with them. You tell me, why are all the paper leaks connected to one district, Nalanda? Yadav asked.
Yadav claimed that Nitish Kumar’s administration had failed to take Bihar forward or ensure fairness in governance.
Tejashwi Yada’s Vision for Bihar:
During his interaction with Panchayat-level workers, Yadav outlined his vision for Bihar’s development.
“If our government comes in 2025, we have prepared a complete blueprint of what to do. Our focus is on the progress of the people of Bihar and taking Bihar forward. A road map is being prepared for how Bihar can be counted among the developed states.”
He emphasized that his party had delivered jobs without the controversies surrounding paper leaks. “We got jobs for people in Bihar, that too without paper leaks. Before we came, papers used to leak, and even after we separated from the government, papers were leaked.”
Tejashwi Yadav, during his visit to Munger, as part of the third phase of his ‘Karyakarta Darshan cum Samvad program,’ Yadav accused the government of corruption, inefficiency, and failure to address the public’s concerns.
Allegations of Election Manipulation:
Yadav reiterated his claim that the RJD had won the 2020 elections.
“We fought with vigour in 2020 as well. Everyone knows that our government was formed. You all know what happened post 2020 assembly election.”
Criticism of Nitish Kumar’s Dialogue Program:
Tejashwi targeted the Chief Minister’s public dialogue initiative, questioning the spending of large sums of public money.
“200 to 250 crore rupees will be spent on this program. Whose money is this? So much money will be spent just to meet his people. How can the Cm solve the problems of three districts by sitting in one district, when even the issues raised in the Janata Darbar remain unresolved?”
Aiming the smart meter installations in Bihar, Yadav referred to them as “cheater meters” and pledged reforms in electricity if his government came to power.
“If our government is formed, 200 units of electricity will be given free in the entire state. This government will also be forced to give 200 units free.”
Tejashwi Yadav emphasized his government’s focus on transparency, accountability, and public welfare if elected in 2025.
Karyakarta Darshan cum Samvad Program schedule:
The third phase of Yadav’s program began on December 4 in Munger and will include interactions with party workers and the public in Khagaria (December 5), Begusarai (December 6) and Lakhisarai and Sheikhpura (December 7)
This initiative underscores Yadav’s grassroots approach, as he directly engages with party workers and voters to strengthen his support base ahead of the elections.
