Tejashwi Yadav criticized the Nitish government over nepotism and demands answers on commission appointments.

Patna, June 15, 2025: Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, launched a blistering attack on the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government, accusing it of institutionalizing favoritism, nepotism, and sidelining democratic governance.
Speaking to the media in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav alleged that Bihar is not being run by its elected leadership but by a small group of bureaucrats and retired officers.
“The government in Bihar is being run by retired officers, not by the tired Chief Minister,” he remarked sarcastically.
Tejashwi Yadav alleged transfer-posting allegation: Tejashwi Yadav further alleged that bureaucratic appointments in the state are influenced by bribes and connections rather than merit.
“Offer to offer and get the posting of your choice. No one listens to public representatives anymore. Only ‘DK Boss’ a reference to the Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary calls the shots,” he claimed.
Tejashwi Yadav demanded for Jamai Commission:
Launching a scathing critique of recent appointments to state commissions, Tejashwi Yadav took a dig at the alleged nepotism, saying, “Why not just form a Jamai Commission?” This was in reference to the appointments of sons-in-law of prominent leaders such as Ram Vilas Paswan, Ashok Chaudhary, and Jitan Ram Manjhi.

He said, “These commission posts were lying vacant for years. Now, just ahead of elections, they are suddenly being filled and that too with politically connected family members. Is there no one else capable in the entire state?”
He also raised questions over the appointment of the wife of the Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary to the State Women’s Commission, asking, “Were there no other qualified and educated women in Bihar?”
Tejashwi issued a list of five- pointed questions for the Nitish Kumar government to answer.
“How many government officials’ wives have been given jobs? How many officials’ children are studying
Abroad while the state’s education system collapses? How many candidates from business families are in government jobs through consultancy? How many officials have invested in land or in foreign ventures? And why are commissions being used as parking lots for politically connected individuals?” Tejashwi asked.
“Only God is running Bihar Now”:
In an emotional appeal Tejashwi said, “What is happening in Bihar? Only God is the master now. The leaders and officials have looted the state with both hands. They are ruining not just the present, but also the future of Bihar’s youth.”

Predicting the downfall of the current regime, he concluded, “Even the Chief Minister’s own officials are no longer loyal. It’s time for him to be alone. This government is going, and everyone knows it.”
