Patna, May 27, 2024: Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Monday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of spreading lies about the Mandal Commission, reservation, and the Constitution, urging him to “increase his knowledge” on these issues.

Speaking to reporters in Patna before leaving for Jehanabad to campaign for RJD candidate Surendra Yadav, the RJD leader said, “We have put forward our views with facts so that he gets the right information through the open letter I wrote to him. I have tried to tell the truth so that his knowledge can be increased.”

Tejashwi Yadav alleged PM Modi refused caste based census:

Tejashwi Yadav, in his open letter to the Prime Minister on Sunday, claimed that leaders of several parties had met Modi in 2021 to demand a caste-based census, but he refused. Following this, the Bihar government conducted the caste-based survey at its own expense, he said.

He also alleged that while the Gujarat government provides reservations to 25 Muslim castes, the Prime Minister continues to mislead the public on this issue.

“Why does he keep saying useless things? That’s why people don’t want to listen to him anymore. We talk about real issues, and the public is with us. BJP will be wiped out from Bihar and the country this time,” Tejashwi said.

Tejashwi Yadav appreciated Rahul Gandhi:

On Rahul Gandhi’s upcoming visit to Bihar, he remarked, “It’s good that he’s coming. Preparations are on. BJP is losing in every phase, and the INDIA bloc will form the government at the Centre.”

Regarding the INDIA bloc’s meeting scheduled for June 1. Tejashwi confirmed that discussions on key national issues would take place and that “the outcome will be shared publicly.
