Patna, August 10, 2025: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav in the Bihar Assembly, on Sunday, accused Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha of being registered in two constituencies in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) draft voter list and possessing two different EPIC (Electors Photo Identity Card) numbers.
He demanded a transparent investigation from the Election Commission of India.
Tejashwi Yadav claimed Sinha has two EPIC numbers in Patna and Lakhisarai:
Tejashwi Yadav claimed that Sinha’s name appears at serial number 757 in booth number 405 of Patna with EPIC number AFS0853341, and also at serial number 274 in booth number 231 of Lakhisarai with EPIC number IAF3939337. He further alleged that Sinha’s age is recorded differently on the two voter IDs.
Consider it a disclosure or a fraud, but it is a fact that the same person has two different EPIC cards and is registered in two places,” Tejashwi told reporters at a press conference, adding that he verified the details on the official ECI website.

Referring to his own case, Yadav said, “The Election Commission had sent me a notice in the matter of two voter IDs. I sent my reply by speed post on August 8. Now it remains to be seen when Patna and Lakhisarai district administration will issue a notice to Vijay Kumar Sinha.”
Tejashwi Yadav alleged discrepancies in SIR:
Calling the SIR process a “huge fraud,” Tejashwi said he would present his case in court with full evidence.
“There cannot be a bigger fraud than a Deputy Chief Minister’s name appearing in two voter lists even after revision,” he said.
He also alleged widespread inaccuracies in the voter rolls, claiming that in some entries, his parents’ names, siblings’ names, and even his own name are mismatched.

“This shows how messed up the voter list IDs, “ he said, demanding complete transparency from the Election Commission and warning that such irregularities “cannot be tolerated in a democracy.”
