Surya Kiran 9 jets spectacular stunts enthrall Patna during the air show on Vijay Diwas.

Patna April 23, 2025: In a grand celebration of Veer Kunwar Singh Vijay Diwas, Bihar witnessed it’s first-ever air show featuring the Indian Air Force’s elite ‘Surya Kiran’ Aerobatic Team.

The spectacular event unfolded on JP Ganga’s path near Sabhyata Dwar, with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in attendance, saluting the courage and precision of the IAF.

Patna comes alive with the Surya Kiran air show:

The Surya Kiran air show skies above Patna came alive as nine HAWK 132 fighter jets soared in synchronized formations, performing jaw-dropping aerial stunts at an altitude of a thousand feet.

The thunderous sound of the jets echoed across the city, leaving the massive crowd awestruck.

Adding to the thrill, Army para jumpers leaped from the skies, landing with flawless accuracy, drawing enthusiastic cheers from onlookers especially children and youth, who waved and shouted in admiration.

The jets took off Bihta airbase, with the display including complex maneuvers, smoke trails, and team formations. The precision and grace of the aerial acrobatics captured the imagination of thousands who gathered under the blazing sun.

To accommodate the massive turnout, a special German hanger was erected along JP Path, capable of seating thousands.

Despite the heat, the excitement was palpable as people from all walks of life, including dignitaries and families, came to witness the historic spectacle.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar hailed the event as a moment of pride for Bihar, commemorating the valiant legacy of Babu Veer Kunwar Singh, one of the earliest and bravest heroes of the 1857 First War of Indian Independence.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Speaker of Bihar Legislative Assembly Nand Kishor Yadav, Water Resources cum Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Energy cum Planning and Development Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Rural Works Minister Ashok Chaudhary, Cooperation Minister Dr. Prem Kumar, Public Health Engineering Minister Neeraj Kumar Singh .

Other ministers, MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy and other public representatives, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. S. Siddhartha, Secretary to the Chief Minister Anupam Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Special Officer to the Chief Minister Gopal Singh and other senior officials, District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh and Senior Superintendent of the Police Avkash Kumar were present.
