Patna January 2, 2025: After Lalu Prasad Yadav openly offered to Nitish Kumar to join the Grand Alliances, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary strongly dismissed his claim and asserted that RJD is frightened of NDA.
Samrat Choudhary labelled Lalu Prasad Yadav’s overtures as a reaction to the RJD’s fear of the NDA’s growing strength, particularly in the lead-up to the upcoming elections.
He expressed confidence in the NDA’s ability to repeat its electoral successes, stating, “We have defeated RJD with a big margin during the Lok Sabha election and we will defeat Lalu Prasad Yadav and his party in the future elections.”
Samrat Choudhary said Nitish Kumar knew every character of Lalu Prasad:
Choudhary also emphasized Nitish Kumar’s familiarity with Lalu’s political strategies, underscoring a belief that Nitish will not return to the Grand Alliance.
“Nitish Kumar Knew all the veins of Lalu Prasad Yadav. Nitish Kumar knew every character of Lalu,” Chaudhary said.
Earlier on Wednesday night, RJd national president Lalu Prasad Yadav said his doors are open for Nitish Kumar probably to reconcile with him.
When asked if his door was open for the Bihar Chief Minister, Lalu responded, “My door is always open, Nitish Kumar should also keep his door open.”
On whether he would forgive Nitish Kumar if he returned, Lalu stated, “Forgiving has been my job. If he comes back, I will forgive him without any problem. Everyone will work together.”
When Nitish Kumar was asked about Lalu Prasad Yadav’s offer during the swearing-in ceremony of Bihar’s new Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, the Chief Minister chose not to respond verbally. Instead, he smiled and folded and folded his hands, offering no clear indication of his intentions.

The photograph, which shows Nitish Kumar warmly greeting Tejashwi Yadav, with Bihar Speaker Nand Kishor Yadav, Bijendra Prashad Yadav and Shrawan Kumar standing nearby, has sparked speculation.
While some view the interaction as a display of political courtesy, others interpret it as a signal of possible thawing relations between Nitish and Tejashwi, despite the Samrat Choudhary’s dismissal of such prospects.
