Samrat Choudhary criticized Tejashwi Yadav for questioning Nitish Kumar’s Yatra beginning on December 15.

Patna december 4, 2024: The political climate in Bihar has heated up with Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary responding sharply to Tejashwi Yadav’s criticism of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Mahila Samvad Yatra, scheduled to begin on December 15.
The program, aimed at connecting with women across all districts of Bihar, has an allocated budget of Rs.225 crore, approved by the cabinet.
Samrat Choudhary claimed Tejashwi Yadav has no right to speak on corruption:
Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the RJD, criticized the initiative, alleging it to be a misuse of government funds. In retaliation, Samrat Choudhary accused Tejashwi of hypocrisy and referred to the Lalu-Rabri regime, calling it synonymous with corruption.
He said, “The looting of the government treasury happened during the Lalu-Rabri regime.”
Choudhary specifically cited the fodder scheme, a major corruption case for which Lalu Prasad Yadav was convicted— as evidence of mismanagement during the RJD’s tenure.
He added. “Since Tejashwi’s father is a convict, he does not have the right to raise the question of the looting of government funds. It is better if the party which has been associated with corruption does not advise others.”
Samrat Choudhary justified CM Nitish Kumar’s expensive Mahila Samman Yatra:
Furthermore, Choudhary dismissed Tejashwi’s criticism of the Mahila Samvad Yatra, emphasizing that Lalu Yadav’s corruption record undermines the credibility of such statements.
“Tejashwi Yadav should know that his father Lalu Yadav is a registered offender. The court has called him corrupt. He has been in jail for the crime of corruption. That is why the statement given by Tejashwi Yadav regarding the visit of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was not justified at all. He has no right to speak on corruption.”
The Mahila Samvad Yatra is being framed by the government as a significant outreach initiative for women’s empowerment, but it has become a political flashpoint, with the opposition questioning its intent and expenditure while the ruling coalition defends it as a necessary step for development and engagement.
Samrat Choudhary also slammed Rahul Gandhi for his Sambhal visit:
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Sambhal, calling it an attempt to incite anarchy and communal frenzy.
Referring to the Uttar Pradesh government’s prohibition on political figures visiting the area until December 10, Choudhary remarked.
“When the UP government has banned any person associated with any political party from going there till December 10, then he should not insist on going to Sambhal.”
He further accused Rahul Gandhi of being idle and engaging in actions that could disturb social harmony, saying, “He has no work, that is why he is going there.”
In addition, Bihar’s Health Minister Mangal Pandey took a swipe at Tejashwi Yadav, claiming that the public had rendered him irrelevant by rejecting him in the elections. Pandey said.
“The public has made him unemployed, so he is do something. He is roaming around and making statements.”
These comments reflect the escalating political rhetoric between ruling parties and opposition leaders, with accusations and counter-accusations intensifying ahead of key political events.
