Samrat Choudhary claimed the Bihar government will release a list of job appointments from 2020-2025.

Patna, April 29, 2025: In a significant move ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced that the Nitish Kumar-led government will soon release a detailed list of individuals who have been given government jobs between 2020 and 2025.
The step is being viewed as both a strategic election-year maneuver and a bid to demonstrate transpiratory amid mounting pressure from the opposition.
“The Bihar government is going to release the complete list of all the people to whom we have given jobs,” Chaudhary said.” Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also extend congratulations to all the job recipients.
Samrat Choudhary announced phase wise list:
The Deputy CM emphasized that the list will be released in phases and that this initiative underscores the government’s commitment to accountability.
The announcement comes in response to president’s criticism from opposition parties including Congress, Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD), and Jan Suraj Party who have been demanding clarity on job distribution in the state.
Prominent political strategist and Jan Suraj leader Prashant Kishor has been especially vocal, challenging the government to publish the job data and even pledging to personally verify the names listed.
“Let the government publish the list, and I will meet those individuals to check if the data is genuine or fabricated,” Kishor had said earlier.
Samrat Choudhary defended PM Modi:
When asked about a recent tweet from the Congress party claiming,
“The Prime Minister disappears when it comes to responsibility,” Chaudhary responded sharply.

“It is the job of the opposition to raise questions, but the truth is, the opposition itself often disappears. The people of this country can clearly see how responsible the Prime Minister is for running the country,” he said.
This move by the state government is being seen as an effort to counter-narratives about rising unemployment in Bihar and to highlight the NDA government’s employment record under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.
