Patna, October 19, 2025: As political activity intensifies ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, a major uproar erupted outside RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s residence at 10, Circular Road, Patna, on Sunday.
Madan Shah leveled allegations against the RJD’s leadership:
RJD worker Madan Shah, a ticket aspirant from the Madhuban Assembly constituency, arrived at the Lalu-Rabri residence and staged a dramatic protest.
In a fit of anguish, he tore his Kurta (Shirt) and lay on the ground, alleging that the party had demanded money in exchange for an election ticket.
Shah claimed that despite years of serving the party, his ticket was cancelled and given to Dr. Santosh Kushwaha after he refused to pay.

“I have been working for the party for years, but tickets are being distributed based on money. Those with money are being preferred, while loyal workers are being ignored in the party,” Shah alleged.
The protest created chaos outside the residence of the RJD chief before security personnel intervened and dispersed the crowd.

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing Shah making serious allegations against the RJD leadership.
The party has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
The incident comes amid growing internal discontent within the Grand Alliance over seat sharing and ticket distribution.
The RJD and Congress have yet to resolve differences on several seats, while friction with the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) has also surfaced—with both parties fielding candidates from the same seat in Madhepura.
Earlier, RJD leader Usha Devi, an aspirant from the Barachatti constituency, had also expressed disappointment over being denied a ticket.
Speaking outside Lalu-Rabri residence, she said Lalu Prasad Yadav is like a father to her and reaffirmed her loyalty, stating she would continue to campaign for the party despite her grievances.
