RJD is aiming to intrude into vote banks of NDA in Bihar.

Patna: The seat sharing formula may not be finalized in Mahagathbandhan in Bihar but RJD is approaching the Lok Sabha election with the aim to intrude into the vote banks of NDA.

The party has given the tickets to five candidates named Kumar Sarvjeet, Shrawan Kushwaha, Abhay Kushwaha, Archana Ravidas and Jayprakash Narayan Yadav to contest Gaya, Nawada, Aurangabad, Jamui and Banka Lok Sabha seats respectively.

The party leaders have authorized Lalu Prasad Yadav to select the candidates and the way he has chosen these names, it looks like he did the meticulous survey to hit the core vote bank of NDA.

The voters of Lav-Kush equation are the core voters of NDA especially JD-U in Bihar. BJP also gave the post of state president to Samrat Choudhary who comes from Kushwaha community. On the other hand, RJD is known for the party of MY equation (Muslim-Yadav) in Bihar but the way Tejashwi Yadav came with a new formula and said that RJD is not only a party of MY but also a party of BAAP (Bahujan, Agda, Aadhi Abadi (Women) and Poor), its look like Lalu Prasad Yadav selecting the candidates on this line.

The RJD chief has given 2 seats to the candidates belonging to Kushwaha community. Lalu Prasad Yadav knew that Muslim and Yadav are intact with his party and hence he wants to hit core voters of NDA.

RJD has given the ticket to Shrawan Kushwaha to contest Lok Sabha election from Nawada. This is a Bhumihar dominant constituency in Bihar. The voters of Muslims and Yadav are also having sizable populations followed by the voters of Kushwaha, Dalit and Mahadalit communities. People of Bhumihar caste are core voters of NDA and so are Kushwaha or Koiri. Hence, Lalu Prasad Yadav gave the ticket to Kushwaha candidate to intrude into the vote banks of NDA.

The situation of Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency is identical to Nawada. Aurangabad has the highest number of voters belonging to Rajpur caste who are said to be the core voters of NDA. The population of Yadav, Muslim and Kushwaha are also there. RJD has given the ticket to Abhay Kushwaha with the same formula to bring Yadav, Muslim and Kushwaha voters on one side to overpower Rajput and defeat the NDA.

Jamui reserved seat is known for the strong hold of Ram Vilas Paswan family and Chirag Paswan is the sitting MP here. RJD has given the ticket to Archana Ravidas, a Dalit leader of the party to contest this seat. Through Archana Ravidas, Lalu Prasad Yadav wants to target women as well as Dalit voters. The Yadav voters are more than 3.6 lakhs followed by Muslim around 2.5 lakh. Dalit and Mahadalit voters are also around 3 lakh here. As this is a reserved seat, RJD has given the ticket to Archana Ravidas to lure the voters of Dalit and Mahadalit and also women voters. Muslim and Yadav will vote for her in the name of RJD.

Gaya reserved seat has a domination of Manjhi voters. Around 3 lakh voters belong to the Manjhi community followed by Muslim around 2 lakh, Yadav 2 lakh, Bhumihar and Rajput jointly have around 2 lakh voters. Around 1.5 lakh voters belong to the Paswan community as well. RJD has given the ticket to Kumar Sarvjeet who belongs to Paswan community while Jitan Ram Manjhi is the NDA candidate for this seat. The sitting MP Vijay Kumar Manjhi may also contest this seat as well. If he contests this seat, the division of votes expected in Manjhi community and such a situation will turn out gain for the RJD candidate.

“RJD is not only a party of MY but also a party of BAAP and our leaders are selecting candidates on this line. BJP is scared of its defeat. This is just the beginning. We will win the maximum number of seats in Bihar,” said Mritunjay Tiwari, the spokesperson of RJD.
