Patna: RJD candidate Shrawan Kushwaha filed the nomination for the Lok Sabha election 2024 in Nawada on Thursday.
He was accompanied by RJD senior leader Shakti Singh Yadav, Sagarika Paswan and strongman Ashok Mahto during the filing of nomination. Shrawan Kushwaha will challenge BJP candidate Vivek Thakur on this seat. Thakur will also file the nomination today.
“This time the fight is between Modi and Mudda (Issues) in the Lok Sabha election 2024 and people of Bihar are with the INDIA bloc. We are raising the real issues in Bihar and in the country. Employment of youths is the priority. At present, people of Bihar and the country are miffed with the price rise of every essentials. The central government has not fulfilled any promises it had made during the 2019 Lok Sabha election. On the other hand, our leader Tejashwi Yadav had been given over 5 lakh jobs during the 17 months tenure of Mahagathbandhan in Bihar,” said Shrawan Kushwaha.
Following the nomination, he was welcomed by the supporters of Mahagathbandhan outside the district magistrate office in Nawada.
In Gaya, Hindustani Awam Morcha-Secular (HAM-S) candidate Jitan Ram Manjhi also filed the nomination for the Lok Sabha election 2024 on Thursday.
The voting for the first phase of election will be held on April 19 and today (March 28) is the last date of filing the nomination.
Jitan Ram Manjhi reached the district magistrate office in Gaya and filed the nomination.
“Everyone contests the election for the victory. I stayed for 44 years in politics and some more time left in it. I want to dedicate my remaining life to the common people. Today, I filed the nomination for Gaya seat to contest the Lok Sabha election,” Manjhi said.
Jitan Ram Manjhi will contest as a NDA candidate from Gaya. He will challenge RJD candidate Kumar Sarvjeet. The latter has also filed the nomination for this seat on Thursday.
