Patna, April 2, 2024:  Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Jamui, RJD leader Shakti Singh Yadav on Tuesday questioned the BJP’s stand on dynastic politics, saying the Prime Minister should explain its definition during his address.

PM Narendra Modi will address a rally in Jamui:

PM Modi is scheduled to visit Jamui on April 4 to launch the BJP-led NDA’s election campaign in Bihar. He will campaign in support of Arun Bharti, the brother-in-law of LJPR national president Chirag Paswan, who is contesting from the Jamui reserved seat.

“Will PM Narendra Modi discuss dynastic politics in Jamui? The NDA partners are themselves examples of dynastic politics. Even within the BJP, several inherited from their fathers,” Yadav said.

RJD leader pointed out dynastic politics in the NDA:

He pointed out that Chirag Paswan, who succeeded his late father, is his brother-in-law Arun Bharti from Jamui. Similarly, PM Modi will address a rally in Nawada on April 7 in support of BJP candidate Vivek Thakur, son of former Union minister Dr. C.P. Thakur.

Yadav also cited examples from Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), led by former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi, who is contesting from Gaya on an NDA ticket. “His son Santosh Kumar Suman is a cabinet minister and MLC, while his mother-in-law Jyoti Devi is also an MLA,” Yadav said.

Earlier, BJP state president Samrat Choudhary had accused RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav of promoting dynastic politics by bringing his two sons and two daughters into politics. “When will he bring his other five daughters?” Choudhary had remarked.
