Patna, April 29, 2024: Soon after RJD candidate Rohini Acharya filed her nomination for the Saran Lok Sabha seat, sitting BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Ruddy launched a sharp attack on RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, accusing him of neglecting the region during his tenure as Bihar chief minister.

Rajiv Pratap Rudy pointed out several thousand crore projects in Saran:

Rajiv Pratap Rudy claimed that projects worth Rs. 33,000 crore are underway in Saran, including his “dream project” of an international airport.

“When Lalu Prasad Yadav was the chief minister, not a single electric pole was installed in Sitab Diara. Today, roads, embankments to control Ganga floods, and a power substation have been built. But during his tenure, Lalu killed such schemes to please a particular community,” Rudy alleged.

Rajiv Pratap Rudy also targeted the RJD candidate:

Responding to Rohini Acharya’s remarks on Sitab Diara’s backwardness, Rudy said she should first “consult her father to learn about Saran’s development” before making statements.

Taking a personal swipe, Ruddy added, “Lalu Prasad Yadav is ill and should rest instead of campaigning under the pressure of his children.”
