Rahul Gandhi will lose the election wherever he contests, said NDA leaders.
Patna May 3: After the announcement of Rahul Gandhi to contest the Lok Sabha election from Raebareli Lok Sabha constituency, BJP leaders claimed he would lose the election wherever he contests. Congress has given the ticket to Kishori Lal Sharma to contest from Amethi.
Vijay Kumar Sinha, the deputy chief minister of Bihar said: “Rahul Gandhi does not have the confidence to win the election from Wayanad and hence he came to Raebareli. Rahul Gandhi has been completely rejected by the people of the country. He will lose the election wherever he contests.”
“Rahul Gandhi is scared of PM Narendra Modi and hence he is running out of seat Amethi which is a traditional seat of the Gandhi family. As he was afraid of us, we sent him to visit temples. He will lose election from everywhere,” said Samrat Choudhary, the deputy chief minister of Bihar.
“The Congress party finalized the name of Rahul Gandhi a few hours before the end of the nomination. It shows that there must have been some contradiction in the party regarding his name. There are opposing voices within Congress in the name of Rahul Gandhi. After losing Amethi, he did not consider it necessary to reach there for years,” said LJPR chief Chirag Paswan.
Giriraj Singh, the union minister and candidate of Begusarai said: “Once the Gandhi family loses elections from any constituency, it does not go back to contest elections again. Just as Amethi was lost, Rae Bareli will also be lost. They have already accepted defeat from Amethi and now they are running out from Wayanad too. The situation is such that no one from Congress is willing to contest elections from Amethi.”
Mritunjay Tiwari, the RJD spokesperson said: “BJP people always used to say why Rahul Gandhi contests election from Wayanad. The grand old party finalized his name, he will contest elections from Raebareli. With this, the condition of BJP will worsen in the entire Uttar Pradesh and the INDIA bloc will benefit from this on 80 seats.”
