Prashant Kishor claimed to form the next government in Bihar.

Patna, June 13, 2024: Jan Suraj Padyatra convener Prashant Kishor on Thursday asserted that his organization will contest and win the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections on its own to form the next government in the state.

“The way we are gaining the support of common people, Jan Suraj will form the next government in Bihar on its own,” Kishor said while addressing a public meeting during his ongoing padyatra.

Continuing his outreach campaign across the state, Prashant Kishor held several programs in the Navgachiya subdivision of Bhagalpur district, where he sharply criticized the current state of governance and the existing political parties.

Questioning the condition of the education system in Bihar, he said, “Khichdi is being distributed in schools and degrees are being distributed in colleges, but education is not happening anywhere. If your children don’t study, then no matter who becomes the leader—Lalu Prasad, Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav, or Narendra Modi—no one can make your illiterate children collectors.”

He also attacked leaders who talk about social justice but “ignore land reform.”

“On this land of socialism, 60 out of 100 people don’t have even an inch of land,” he said. “People here have always been promised social justice, but no one has implemented land reform. Farming changed lives in Haryana and Punjab, but not in Bihar, because 60 percent of people have no land. Out of the remaining 40, 36 have less than two bighas.”
