Prahalad Joshi hit back at Tejashwi Yadav over remarks on PM Modi.

Patna, June 23, 2025: Union Minister of Consumer Affairs Prahalad Joshi on Monday strongly criticized RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for his recent remarks branding Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the biggest lair and artist.

Prahalad Joshi was in Khagaria to inaugurate a steel grain facility:

Prahalad Joshi was in Pasraha village under Gogri block in Khagaria district to inaugurate a steel grain silo built at a cost of Rs 130 crore.

The state-of-the-art facility has a storage capacity of 50,000 metric tons and is aimed at strengthening food storage infrastructure in Bihar.

The inauguration was conducted by pressing a remote button in the presence of Bihar government Minister Leshi Singh and local MP Rajesh Kumar, among other dignitaries.  

Responding to Tejashwi Yadav’s comments made during the PM Narendra Modi’s rally in Siwan on June 20, Prahalad Joshi said:

Tejashwi Yadav, who has done nothing himself and only knows how to lie, is in no position to accuse the Prime Minister. His DNA is embedded with lies.”

Prahalad Joshi further defended PM Modi’s record on poverty reduction, stating: From Pandit Nehru to Rahul Gandhi, the Congress only gave slogans like Garibi Hatao, but under Modi’s 11-year tenure, poverty has significantly declined—from 25% to 5% according to the World Bank.”

Tejashwi Yadav earlier alleged misuse of taxpayers’ funds:

Tejashwi Yadav has also alleged that Modi’s public rallies are being funded through taxpayers’ money claiming the Prime Minister has conducted over 200 rallies in Bihar since 2014, each allegedly costing Rs 100 crore.

Dismissing the allegations, Prahlad Joshi said such public outreach is a democratic responsibility, and the charges were politically motivated ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
