Patna, November 11, 2025: Polling for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 is underway on Tuesday across 122 constituencies in 20 districts.
According to figures released by the Election Commission of India (ECI) till 5 pm, a voter turnout of 67.14 percent has been recorded, reflecting strong public enthusiasm and participation.
The brisk polling and large-scale voter turnout have added to the momentum of the state’s high-stakes election.
Tejashwi Yadav appreciated a high percentage of polling:
Leaders from across the political spectrum have expressed satisfaction over the encouraging participation.
The Grand Alliance Chief Ministerial candidate, Tejashwi Yadav, shared a video message on social media, lauding the voters for their overwhelming participation.
“My heart is filled with joy; my Bihar has done wonders. News of bumper polling is coming from everywhere. Elderly people, women, youth businessmen, farmers, every caste and class, are actively participating in this festival of democracy,” he said.
Urging voters to continue turning up in large numbers, Yadav added, “The blue ink on your finger will make your future golden. The button you press will decide your power, security, prosperity, peace and future for the next five years. So leave your homes and vote for your Bihar, for a good government.”
Jitan Ram Manjhi is hoping for the NDA victory:
Meanwhile, Hindustani Awam Morcha chief and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi cast his vote in his ancestral village, Mahakar, in Gaya district.
Speaking to reporters afterward, Manjhi exuded confidence that the NDA would secure at least 80 out of 122 seats in this phase.
“In the first phase, there was about 65% polling, with more than 70 percent participation from women. This time too, women are polling openly in favour of the NDA,” Manjhi said.
He added, “Women voters have always favoured development and stability.”
Highlighting the NDA government’s achievements, Manjhi said Bihar has witnessed remarkable progress under CM Nitish Kumar in sectors like road, education, and healthcare.
