Kanyakumari, May 31, 2024: After 75 days of an intense nationwide campaign for the Lok Sabha Election 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Vivekanand Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari for a 45-hour meditation session, marking the culmination of his election outreach.

During his campaign, PM Narendra Modi addressed 206 rallies and roadshows across the country, covering nearly every state.

His final rally was held in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, on Thursday.

The seventh and final phase of polling will take place on June 1.

Nirmala Sitharaman shared the note of PM Narendra Modi:

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, on Saturday, shared a handwritten note by the Prime Minister after his meditation at the memorial.

In his message, PM Modi wrote, “I feel a divine energy after visiting the Vivekanand Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India. It is on this rock that Goddess Parvati and Swami Vivekananda meditated. Later, Eknath Ranade transformed this rock into the ‘Shila Smarak’, which brought Swami Vivekananda’s thought of life.”

He further expressed, “It is my good fortune that today, after so many years, when India symbolizes the values and ideals of Swami Vivekananda, I too have the opportunity to meditate at this sacred place. My meditation on this ‘Shila Smarak’ is one of the unforgettable moments of my life. Sitting at the feet of Mother India, I once again reaffirm my resolve that every moment of my life and every particle of my body will always be dedicated to the service of the nation.”

“With the desire for the progress of the nation and the welfare of its citizens, I offer my heartfelt obeisance to Mother India.”

Meditation started on May 30:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his spiritual retreat on the evening of May 30, continuing until June 1, meditating day and night at the Dhyan Mandapam—the very spot where Swami Vivekananda is believed to have attained his divine vision of Mother India.
