PM Narendra Modi failed to resolve issues in border areas, says RJD VP Shivanand Tiwari.

Patna: RJD national vice president Shivanand Tiwari sharply reacted on PM Narendra Modi on Sunday and said that he has failed to address the issues in the territories adjoining the China border and in Manipur.
The statement of Shivanand Tiwari came soon after PM Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Bihar’s Nawada district and said that he has removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, removed triple Talaq and constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya.
“PM Narendra Modi, in every election rally saying that whatever works were done during his government in the last 10 years are only a trailer. He is mentioning the removal of article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, triple Talaq and construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. If we analyze, Jammu and Kashmir was an integral part of the country before the removal of Article 370 and it remains today as well. But there is huge dissatisfaction among the people living in the places adjoining the China border in Leh, Ladakh and Kargil. Those places are boiling at the moment. They were protesting, sitting on hunger strike and doing Dharna in the region. Similar situation in Manipur as well,” Tiwari said.
“Any worthy government is always sensitive about the problems of people living in the border areas. Instead of establishing dialogues with the people, the Narendra Modi government is sleeping,” he said.
“If we remember before 2014, corporate and media had made the larger than life image of Narendra Modi. They projected him as a leader who can take strong decisions. On the other hand, they had made the image of then PM Dr Manmohan Singh as a weak prime minister,” Tiwari said.
“Narendra Modi showed the dream to different sections of people in the country. He had promised for 2 crore jobs per year, doubling farmers income till 2022, concrete houses for poor people till 2022, will bring back black money kept in the foreign banks and deposit Rs 15 lakh in every account of common people. What happened to those promises,” Tiwari asked.
“Now in this election, PM Narendra Modi is saying that this was just a trailer, the entire film is remaining. The path on which this government is running, only the numbers of billionaires are increasing in the country. Mukesh Ambani did the marriage of his son and crores of Rs were spent in it. It is reflecting that there is no shortage of capital here but it is limited to a few hands in the country,” he said.
“The central government, instead of imposing taxes on those billionaires, is giving them relaxation in taxes. They are claiming that investment would come in the country but it is also not happening,” Tiwari said.
After 75 years of India’s independence, only 35% people are living in the urban areas. Among them, 50% are living in slums, near dirty drains and pavements. 65% people are dependent on agriculture. If we analyze, 94% of the population of the country are dependent on agriculture and unorganized sectors where the government has neither drawn any law related to salary. The production is also low here due to the lack of capital and technology,” Tiwari said.
Shivanand Tiwari said that the development of a country means the development of farmers and people associated with unorganized sectors. The purchasing power of these people are almost zero and this is the reason why the market is sluggish in the country. Until we do not increase the earnings of people of these two sectors, the country will never develop, Tiwari said.
“PM Narendra Modi has only made symbolic efforts for the farmers and people associated with unorganized sectors. The numbers of billionaires are increasing and the numbers farmers who have committed suicides are not declining. Few people are holding unlimited money in the country. We have never seen such an inequality in the history of the country. This is the reason why youths are heading towards addiction of drugs and opting for crimes,” he said.
“PM Narendra Modi is showing a new bioscope to the people of the country. He is saying that the country has turned into the fifth largest economy in the world. I want to ask him what his contribution was. The real parameters of the developments of any country is per capita income. In this context, the position of our country is below a small country of Africa named Angola. Our country is at 142 positions out of 197 countries in the world.
“Good education and health facilities are getting beyond the reach of common people in the Narendra Modi government. PM Modi is making a slogan of 400 but he will not be successful this time,” he said.
